Cry 04:07
Cry (Written by: A.J. Kiernan) Hey there; I'm talking to you your lightening is a little bit too quick this time so hold your tongue if you think you can Excuses; they're not easy but yours are a little bit better than mine so take them away and what do you get? (CHORUS): So what do I do? I'm walking around with a feeling I'm in over my head I'm dizzy in doubt; what you think you've found I guess I'll just cry It's not fair it took me this long but it's easy to remember just why I passed you over many times before You kissed me; I knew that you would and maybe I didn't even mind but it's a lie to think that I could give more (CHORUS) cry for the way I made you feel so many times before but you were wrong; it's not real it's not real So what do I do? you're flashing those eyes, and I can't help it if I just don't care so look the other way you haven't found anything.

No Reason 02:54
No Reason (Written by: A.J. Kiernan) It's been five years finally filled my cup not so broken down, but it's not enough Yeah I want things back the way they used to be didn't need to smell your skin when you're hovering over me (CHORUS): 'cause there's no reason at all there's no reason at all why you should catch me why you should break my fall, oh I shouldn't be in love with you So the minutes pass they bleed into days finding so many reasons to see your face No you're not my type; honey, you never were but I never felt this way yeah, you make it hurt (CHORUS) No you're not my type. Baby I'm not so blind, yeah, I see the way you act in front of her yeah, you'd be amazed if you knew how much that I already knew so please just kiss me now I'm right in front of you! (CHORUS) There's no reason at all, oh oh oh There's no reason at all, no reason No reason to be in love with you

Nothing to Hide (Written by : A.J. Kiernan) Headed down the Mississippi border to the farthest point to chase your ghost tried to find something familiar to hit the point where I'd loved you the most when I hit bottom I turned around thinking I'd still reach you 'cause how to love with your whole heart is something I can never teach you (CHORUS): and I've got nothing to hide no deep, dark secrets to carry inside I've got nothing to hide my pride I just don't want to take your pictures off the wall, no So excuse me if you're confused by this arrangement I've made no promises that I couldn't keep so there's no reason for you to be crying in the night like a wild dog moon in the middle of the street I said 'I love you' and that's all I want in return I wish you'd believe me 'cause I'm too old to be out running around and you're far too young to say that you don't need me (CHORUS) I just don't wanna take your pictures down; I just don't want to take your pictures off the wall

I Can't Help but Notice (Written by : A.J. Kiernan) There's no bottom in this well that I can find but I'm feeling swell I'm still here; I'm not broken yet no matter how hard it starts to get so I keep walking; feeling fine and I write my songs just to pass the time I keep singing everything I feel hoping that one day it all makes sense (CHORUS): (but) I can't help but notice that your name is on my lips almost every day you know I can't help it that nothing's changed but I speak your name almost every day It's crazy how time goes by how we move along without really trying but I'm lucky I'm still too young to feel the change that comes along but it's moving; I know it does and so I feel it only when I'm quiet so I'm trying to find the peace the peace I can in every day (CHORUS) I can't help but notice that your name is on my lips almost every day

Don't Know 03:39
Don't Know (Written by: A.J. Kiernan) Don't know if I'm comin' or a-goin' with you You say that you're wanting something better; something new I got a lot of good ideas that'll see us through but I don't know if I'm coming or a-goin' with you Don't see how it's gonna be a-different this way So pull the band-aid 'cause I know it's gonna' hurt me; either way (you) talk a lot, but I think it's just to have something left to say but I don't see how it's gonna' be a-different this way Reaching out, you know you you pull me down but I'm still lost from the last time I was 'found' what you say never makes sense, anyhow but I don't know if I'm comin' or a-goin' with you (La la la) Reaching out, you know you you pull me down but I'm still lost from the last time I was 'found' what you say never makes sense, anyhow but I don't know if I'm comin' or a-goin' with you You don't know what I'm doing! I don't know what I'm doing! so help me out! Yeah I don't know if I'm comin' or a-goin' with you I don't know what I'm doing.

Rusted Moon 03:27
Rusted Moon (Written by: A.J. Kiernan) Days of planes and hiding trains are all you left behind how quickly we abuse and pass the time flying fast, yeah nothing lasts but I will let you go at least for now there's nothing left to try So say that you'll be coming soon call to me just like the Rusted Moon I once had you under glass; neatly in my arms the only thing I have now is the pain now I've lost you; glass is shattered; strewn across the floor and I can't even stop and call your name so say that you'll be coming soon call to me just like the Rusted Moon So say that you'll be coming soon call to me just like the Rusted Moon Say, say that you'll be coming back soon Call to me just like the Rusted Moon

Breadlines 03:32
Breadlines (Written by: A.J. Kiernan) Breadlines and coffee signs don't know what it says 'bout the end of times, but does anybody really know just where we are? Quiet night; full bar gentle thrum of a bass guitar and I've got myself a little whiskey in a jar (CHORUS): Well there's got to be a better way to find it; that elusive thrill of life that causes so much strife and there's got to be someone who'll remind me of that simple girl I knew before this city went and brought me next to you (CHORUS)
8.
Shine 03:30
Shine (Written by: A.J. Kiernan) I have been around the world and I think I see why everybody's getting tired of the same old thing blood and war and murdering well that's great! you've got your point of view; you think you're right well I've got news for you it's genocide whether you're right or not; the innocent will take the brunt of- pain!; we'll bleed and then we die it's up to you to care or never even try but what's it worth to you? just keep your point of view you're absolutely right. Now just shove it where the sun don't shine. I know it's hard to hear the truth I know you're scared you think that I need manners and a beating so I'll know my place that you help the human race with your lies your happy little lies; they keep you safe from what you're taking part in don't believe in everything you hear the weakest ones are ruled by fear or- pain!; we'll bleed and then we die it's up to you to care or never even try but what's it worth to you? just keep your point of view you're absolutely right. Now just shove it where the sun don't shine. Well that's great! That's great! you're burying your head into the sand; you won't believe a single thing until they turn their guns on you- they take your house and all your children too... But you just shine! the bombs are flying, but shine! There's children crying, but shine! Your brothers are dying but It's fine! If you just shine.

Here 03:22
Here (Written by: A.J. Kiernan) What did you expect I would do by now? Let you stand around waiting for me to start? Who did you think I was? Just another fool? Though I knew the rules to your little game, but you broke my heart Well I'm no sentimental fool for you (so they say) but you know it's a lie; I want to cry without you here by my side Offered you my love and you tore me down never made a sound as I lay in your arms What could I do? I just held on tighter I know that you're a fighter when it comes to love I thought I'd calm you down Oh my love, I thought I'd calm you down I'm no sentimental fool for you (so they say) but you know it's a lie; I want to cry without you here by my side without you here...

Kiernan) We got the wind babe and we got stars we got a good name and we got a car we got the road babe and we'll drive real far 'cause we got the night babe 'cause we're still looking got a little bit of money got the power left to change we don't need another heart breaker we don't need to feel the fame we just need a good song, now and a reason left to sing 'cause we got the night babe 'cause we're still looking We got the wind babe and we got the hours got a little of your good lovin' and we got the power we got the road babe so get your ass into the car 'cause we got the night babe 'cause we're still looking

about

"Rusted Moon" is the premiere album from the band WATER BEAR, an acoustic indie folk band developed by singer/songwriter A.J. Kiernan out of the Worcester MA area.

Collaborating with the help of engineer and friend 'Jared Fiske' (of Fiske & Herrera/The Casters) and Jess Adams (The Casters/Never Say Never), this album serves as a journal of sorts; telling the story of the important thoughts and moments throughout Kiernan's life experiences. This album talks about the trials of life, death (and coming close to it), loss of family, love, adapting to political dysphoria, rejection and finally the joy of acceptance. With the help of her friends (including guitarist/singer Rob Adams, Jackie Damsky on Violin and Bass Player/Percussionist Seth Adams), this album is an amalgam of raw honesty. These songs are full of sometimes laughable (and sometimes 'cry-able') moments that we've all had before in one form or another.

**WATER BEAR is an ASCAP registered band, and works directly with HOLE IN THE WALL PUBLISHING, also an ASCAP registered company.**
